Live webinar Members-Help-Members (M-H-M) is an initiative under the auspices of the Institute’s Small and Medium Practices Committee (SMPC) to provide non-authoritative guidance and comment on technical issues facing SMPs. In the upcoming M-H-M sharing session, the speaker will share his insights on the financial reporting implications of the abolition of the Mandatory Provident Fund – Long Service Payment offsetting mechanism in Hong Kong, covering i) two acceptable accounting approaches, ii) comparison of the two approaches and their implications, iii) illustrative examples, as well as iv) the considerations when working with external valuation firms, from the perspective of SMPs.
