The
Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP) is developed and operated by the
Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC). The ACVP leverages blockchain technology to streamline the verification process for academic certificates issued by higher education institutions in Hong Kong. It offers graduates enhanced efficiency, convenience, and security in sharing their credentials, while enabling employers and further study institutions to directly access and verify qualifications.
In this webinar, the speakers will share their valuable project experiences and views of the platform. The following contents will be covered:
- The journey of the project, including its initiation in 2020, the implementation in collaboration with a vendor, and the establishment of a robust architecture built across three data centres provided by three universities/institutions. The project team involved representatives from registry offices and IT departments from eleven member institutions of JUCC, exemplifying the collaborative nature of the initiative.
- The user experiences of the ACVP public portal and student portal, showcasing the features of credential sharing and verification.
- The significant advancements made by JUCC in revolutionizing academic certificate verification in Hong Kong through the ACVP.
