Description

Over the past couple of years, Hong Kong people have been hearing about the collection of sewage samples for COVID-19 testing in the news. If positive results are detected in some areas, it may indicate that there are hidden cases in the premises within these areas.

As the government’s designated contractor for the COVID-19 detection in domestic sewage, CMA Testing will present in this webinar how their team utilizes the University of Hong Kong’s “nucleic acid” detection technology to conduct the tests.

The webinar will also examine how the application of building water testing can be widened to test for other substances to help with early detection or investigation of virus contamination or pollution, and how his could play an important role in creating sustainable living environments.

To tackle the topic of the sustainability performance of buildings, the webinar will also explore new technologies that have emerged to help enhance water quality and tackle waste management issues. Green building benchmarks and government incentives that are contributing to sustainable development will also be covered.

In this webinar, the speakers will cover following topics:

  • Building sewage testing – COVID-19
  • Building water testing – application widened to test for other substances (sustainability related)
  • New technology for bringing good water quality and waste recycling (green building related)
  • Green building criteria
  • Green building – financial incentives per government policy – extra 20% GFA (gross floor area) for new building
