Face-to-face seminar In light of the widespread public concern arising from fire outbreaks and alleged bid riggings related to building management and maintenance works, significant public and regulatory attention has been drawn to the critical vulnerabilities within corporate tendering, procurement, and vendor oversight systems. For professional accountants working in the property, infrastructure and construction sectors, managing property assets and large-scale renovation projects goes beyond simple cost control. It also demands rigorous risk management, compliance monitoring, and robust internal controls. Co-organized by the Institute’s Property, Infrastructure and Construction Interest Group and the Hong Kong Business Accountants Association, this seminar will feature distinguished speakers from the surveying profession, the Legislative Council, and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. The speakers will share insights from real-world cases and lessons learned, exploring both limitations and opportunities for improvements in law and practice. Members will gain a comprehensive understanding of the technical standards, legislative developments, anticorruption controls, and financial governance needed to safeguard corporate oversight in major building works. *Light refreshments will be provided.
