For more than eight decades, the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) has been the cornerstone of Hong Kong's success as an international aviation hub. Beyond its regulatory role, the CAD ensures a safe, efficient, and sustainable air transportation system, providing critical air navigation services for the flights at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and in the Hong Kong Flight Information Region.

This exclusive visit, jointly organised by the Government and Public Sector Interest Group (GPSIG) and the Property, Infrastructure and Construction Interest Group (PICIG), offers participants a deep dive into the latest development of the air transport industry, providing insights into the operations of one of the world’s largest integrated airport operation and management centres, and experiencing the demonstration of the Aerodrome Control Training that simulates the aerodrome environment of the Three-runway System operations.

Highlights of the visit

Guided tour to:

• Integrated Airport Centre (IAC) – one of the world's largest integrated airport operation and management centres to assure the smooth running of HKIA.
• CAD Aviation Education Path – showcase the development of air transport industry, and the airport viewing deck.
• Air Traffic Control Tower Simulator – equipped with state-of-art projection and image generation technologies, simulate the aerodrome environment of the Three-runway  System operations to facilitate the Aerodrome Control Training.

Notes:

Participants are required to arrive 10 minutes earlier (i.e., at 1:50 p.m.) for on-day registration. To enter the Airport Restricted Area in relation to the visit of IAC at HKIA, participants are required to:
(a) provide their names in English as in Hong Kong Identity (HKID) Card, HKID Card numbers, scanned copy of HKID Card, and digital format photographs (click here for photo requirements) for the application of Airport Visitor Pass; and
(b) undergo security screening at the gatehouse. Dangerous goods and security restricted articles are not allowed to be carried. 

Priority will be given to members of the Government and Public Sector Interest Group (“GPSIG”) or Property, Infrastructure and Construction Interest Group (“PICIG”). Exclusive registration for GPSIG or PICIG members: until 29 April (11:59 a.m.)
