Description

Face-to-face

The main functions of the Legislative Council (LegCo) are to enact, amend or repeal laws; examine and approve budgets, taxation and public expenditure; and raise questions on the work of the HKSAR government. It is also given the power to endorse the appointment and removal of the judges of the Court of Final Appeal and the Chief Judge of the High Court, as well as the power to pass a motion of impeachment against the Chief Executive and report it to the Central People's Government for decision.

We have a great opportunity to visit the LegCo Complex now, the first purpose-built building to house the Legislature of Hong Kong. Participants will gain valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of the LegCo and explore the facilities within the building. This visit also provides a valuable occasion for members with a shared interest in the government and public sector to connect and network.

Register today to secure your place – spaces are limited!
