The Photography Interest Group (PoIG) has organised a night safari workshop and a field trip to Hok Tau Reservoir (鶴藪水塘) in April. Mr. Samson So, professional photographer will teach the basics of capturing creatures in the night. Don't miss this unique opportunity. - Understand the importance of nocturnal species to the environment.
- Study nocturnal species habitat and behavior.
- Learn the techniques of finding and observing nocturnal species.
Field trip details : - The Hok Tau Reservoir is located at the Pat Sin Leng Country Park.
- It is a typical lowland riverine ecosystem in South China.
- The inter-relations among flora and fauna as well as their physical environment help building the complex ecosystem.
- This is an area suitable to observe the shifting between diurnal and nocturnal creatures.
Remarks : - Eco Institute Limited is the service provider.
- Fee includes: lecture by Mr. Samson So, lecture notes, guided field trip, and shuttle bus from Wu Chung House to Hok Tau Reservoir and back to University / Kowloon Tong / Wanchai MTR Station.
- No food or drinks are included.
- Participants should bring their own digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR), macro / micro lens, telephoto lens, flash and tripod (optional).
- The event is subject to reschedule due to poor weather condition.
- Cantonese is the medium of the activity.
