Interested in taking lotus photos? Join the PoIG gathering in June in Shenzhen to learn the basics of aperture, shutter speed, and double exposure techniques when capturing these beautiful blooming flowers. We are honoured to have Mr. Raymond Lo, a professional photographer, to be the adviser who will provide members the guidance on lotus shooting during the session. Session Details: - Practice finding suitable subjects for shooting
- Choose the best shooting position and angle
- Introduce the appropriate equipment for lotus photography
- Learn the appropriate camera settings e.g. aperture and shutter speed
- Learn the basic skills on lotus photography, including double exposure
Remarks: - Participants should bring their own camera (DSLR, mirrorless or 3/4), telephoto lens (preferably from 200mm - 500mm), reflex lens (if any) and tripod.
- Participants are responsible for their own transportation, meals and insurance. The group will assemble at 6:30 am at Sheung Shui Station where the session leader, Sammy Au Yeung will meet all participants.
- The session will be conducted in Cantonese.
- The session is subject to rescheduling due to poor weather conditions.
- Enrolment is on a first-come first-served basis. Priority for enrolment will first be offered to PoIG members, and then to non-PoIG members in case of over subscription. Non-members' application will only be processed after the registration deadline, subject to availability. We will only consider non-member's enrolment when it is enrolled with a member.
- For easy communication and logistical arrangements, the session leader will use WhatsApp to communicate with participants. Please indicate if you wish to join this WhatsApp group in the event your application is successful.
